More than News.
A news & information service with no newsroom. Tydeway reads what institutions publish, in 27 languages, writes it up in English within twenty minutes, and links every story to the document it came from.
What is read
Governments and parliaments, courts, central banks and regulators, UN agencies and missions, humanitarian organisations, statistical offices, and the disclosure filings of listed companies. Never a newsroom, a wire agency or state media.
How it is written
Each statement is rated for how many people it touches and what is at stake, and the rating is printed on the story. The summary is short, in a neutral register that names a party rather than labelling it, and it says it was written by software.
The original is the authority: every story links to it, and a changed statement is kept as a revision rather than overwritten. The crawler is TydewayBot; it obeys robots.txt and links back to every page it reads.
